Cutting the Cord

Cutting the cord is an interesting concept that decentralizes content and spreads it across various web services. I have cut the cord by replaced it with a combination of DTV broadcasts for live public broadcasting and web content (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, HBO Go, Crackle, Showtime Anytime, iTunes Store, Rdio, Podcasts).

It is an interesting concept, I just wish everything was available seamlessly. I suppose basic cable and a DVR would provide that service but why on earth is a single UI not available with seamless search?
